Mary Yankauer is an independent appraiser, certified and licensed by the State of California and has been a Sacramento resident for 20 years.  Yankauer Appraisals operates as an integral link in the primary and secondary mortgage process. She is FHA approved and specializes in large homes and estate valuations.

   Mary has over nine years in the appraisal business and did her initial training in a large, established Sacramento firm handling a wide variety of cases including intercity and historical properties, ranch properties on acreage, manufactured homes and high value residences.  She was added to the FHA roster in 2004.   She started her own company, Yankauer Appraisal in 2004 and continues to broaden her expertise to include REO appraisals, review appraisals and estate and probate valuations.  Mary attained the SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2011 and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the local AI chapter.  

  Prior experience in the insurance industry provides transferable skills such as marketing, underwriting and customer relations.  Mary worked as Branch Manager at Continental Insurance (CNA) in Sacramento and was a Policy Service Manager for United Services Automobile Association (USAA), honing her strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to new situations and diverse cultures.  She earned a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, spent five years on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Valley Chapter and served as Chapter President in 2001.

  Mary earned a BA in Economics from Tulane University with additional classes in Human Resources at the University of Houston.
